The restricted options on this page require approval and implementation from CMS admin.
These options are not appropriate for all cases.

Hide Left Column
Article Template
This page is an article template using a new option to hide the left column. This gives the page a full-width display, similar to a homepage template. We suggest using the optional intro banner with this option (seen above). Compared to the homepage template, the article template maintains the breadcrumb links under the intro banner. This makes it useful for a landing page deeper into your site structure.
Not appropriate for:
Pages with complex left navigation
Pages with too little content
Pages other than article templates (not compatible with drawers, profiles, etc.)
Pages with a large amount of text (it is more difficult to scan across the entire width of the screen)
Potentially appropriate for:
Non-homepage landing pages
Pages displaying extra-wide content (embedded graphs, etc.)
Pages using CSS column layouts from our kitchen sink page (like these columns)
Pages in smaller sites with shallow site structure, especially those that make heavy use of modules
Start Side Nav at Sibling Level
Article & Drawer Templates
The left navigation is automatically generated. See the Blink page: Editing Site Navigation Menus in the CMS for an overview.
There may be situations where you don't want an index page to show as much of the surrounding site content in the side navigation as it does by default. In certain circumstances we can approve starting the side navigation at the sibling level (instead of the parent level). Examples:
Standard navigation on Templates index page

Start at sibling level option on Templates index page

Not appropriate for:
Default usage
Folders with only an index page
Pages with complex left menu needed to navigate the site
Potentially appropriate for:
'Sub-sites' inside a larger site. Example: Labs hosted in a department site.
Second-level folder index pages, which are directly repeating a complex top navigation.
