Highlights: Recent Additions to Templates and Modules

We are regularly adding new features to the CMS templates. Major updates will be announced in our CMS Tips emails. You can also review these resources:

• Release notes - General updates including new features for your site and updates to the CMS itself.
• Accessibility template updates - Accessibility-specific updates. Some improvements require a page/ site to be republished before it is applied to the live site. Check this resource to see when you should republish.

In case you missed it: there are new options to help you with common accessibility issues for the:

• intro banner (article and drawer templates)
• news with images and callout content modules

Intro Banner Color Gradient

Issue: Intro banner text doesn't have enough contrast with background image

Solution: Try the intro banner's "Apply a color gradient over image" option (example below)

Note: The hero (homepage rotator) already had this option, along with a text box.

Headline as link text

Issue: Repetitive link text on a page, or between a headline and the link text

Solution: Try the "Headline as link text" option, available for the news with images and callout content modules. Examples:

Tomorrow

The "Select news display type" option lets you skip the dedicated link text.

Today

Choose "Headline as link text" and the "Link Text" field will be hidden.

Yesterday

Both the image and headline text will work as a link.
